Holy Empire of Réunion

RE: Holy Empire of Réunion
Your Imperial Majesty,

In the name of Principality of Sarmatia, I would ask a question:

How do you imagine activity of The Holy Empire of Réunion in OPM ?

We are after all Polish micronations and activity within the OPM requires usage of Polish language. In OPM everyone is equal, we must obey certain rules. Of course we can communicate well enough in english language with foreign micronations, but status of Associate Member of the OPM means also duties and responsibility for the Organisation. We as whole Organisation just can't make more and more exceptions for one country only, Réunion must be aware of that and adapt itself to this specific environment.

Greetings!

As we previously stated, Réunion is a member of many micronational leagues from many sectors. This means that we are FULL members of many organisms in which we remain fully active.

We shall have all the activity that any one who can read polish but not write it could have. It's very easy to read polish using a translator, and this makes it possible for us to vote on resolutions and such.

Of course we will NOT be discussing matters as actively as the other OPM members (although we are experienced members of Leagues and we know that many nations only appear when they find necessary), but we can, if consulted, respond to any questions. Also, if warned about votes, we can cast our vote.

Our intention is to interact as fully as possible with other members of the OPM, and there is no reason to think that we would do it differently. There is, we can see, an English forum here, and we intend to PERMANENTLY stay active here, to respond any questions and voice our opinions whenever we find outselves fit to do so.

Réunion will not bring down the OPM. Our intention is not to create chaos and problems. We want to be a friend. A supporter. A liaison to the non-polish micronational movement fighting for the promotion of micronationry.

Our intentions are to ENRICH this forum and this organization, with views that may be a bit different than that of the polish micronations.

I think we deserve to be amongst yourselves.

Yours

RE: Holy Empire of Réunion
As I anounced already, Reunion was granted a status of observer member here. So - it's a fact.
What Reunion and possibly other non-Polish micronations can do here?
- discuss a range of "micronational matters",
- exchange information,
- discuss a range of "macro" problems, including f.ex. - what is the cheapest and easiest way to visit Poland from Brazil and Portugal (or other countries) and vice versa. And what to see there. To make this easier, I will open a "turistic" topic in the English-language forum.

RE: Holy Empire of Réunion
Your Imperial Majesty,
I have a bold (I think that's the best word for it) proposition to activate Reunion in OPM. You say that Reunion is a nation with a number of citizens. I am sure that amongst those citizens is at least one Polish-speaker. Now, I don't want to create the Reunionian (?) foreign policy, but how about naming that person His Imperial Majesty's Adviser on Polish Affairs or a Delegate to OPM?

Your Excellency:

Unfortunately, we have checked, and within the range of our 252 citizens, there isn't a SINGLE ONE who speaks polish :-(

That was very disappointing. We have delegates speaking Italian, French, German, and even 1 who speaks Russian, who represent us within local bodies of nations. Our wish was to have a polish-speaking delegate here, but, as of now, that is not possible.

And about the adjective, is " Réunian " ;-)

But we will keep looking for someone who can help us be more than simply an oberver state here!

Yours,
